Whether you choose breadth or specificity in your expert, you want one with no “google-able” warts. Consider selecting an expert with intellectual breadth, but at least two areas of award-winning and highly published depth, e.g., engineering plus organic chemistry, or medicine plus regulatory affairs. Then constrain the Expert’s focus to what you need most.
