Presidential Professor, Medicinal Chemistry

Dr. Prestwich was Presidential Professor and Chair, Department of Medicinal Chemistry, College of Pharmacy,  from 1996 – 2000. He continued as faculty in the department until reaching Emeritus status in 2018. He started and led two State of Utah Centers of Excellence: Center for Cell Signaling, 1997-2002, and Center for Therapeutic Biomaterials, 2003 – 2007.

Dr. Prestwich was the President’s Special Assistant for Entrepreneurship at the University of Utah from 2006-2018 and founded and directed the Entrepreneurial Faculty Scholars program.
