The price of analogy is eternal vigilance. While analogies can be helpful in making a complex concept or process “relatable” to the court, you should be wary. All analogies have limitations, and you don’t want your analogy to create problems. I have heard good and bad analogies used by experts in the courtroom. Think through downsides, listen to your attorneys, and proceed with caution.
